IDC is the stand-alone executable version of the root zone component of IWFM. It calculates agricultural and urban water demands at a river-basin scale under user-specified climatic, soil and land-use characteristics. It also routes precipitation and irrigation water through the root zone, and simulates land-surface and root zone flow processes. It can be linked to finite-element as well as finite-difference type integrated hydrologic models.
