Francis I. Chung, as the Chief of Modeling Support Branch, supervises
over 40 engineers and scientists who specialize in hydrodynamics, water
quality, systems engineering, water facilities planning and operations,
and/or computer science. He is primarily responsible for conducting engineering
analyses that support planning and management of water facilities in the
State of California. He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering
and has over 20 years of engineering experience. His expertise is in computer
modeling of estuarine systems and reservoir systems operations. He has
published over 20 papers in professional journals and is an active member
of American Society of Civil Engineers.
