The following report on the Aeration Facility Project is for your information. This report will be transmitted whenever changes occur to the operation of the aeration facility, and as a result of data monitoring of dissolved oxygen in the Stockton Deep Water Ship Channel.
The Aeration Facility was operated on July 6th, 7th, and 8th, 2010 to conduct tests to increase oxygen transfer efficiency. Oxygen was injected periodically during the operational testing. A video camera was used to obtain video of the sparger oxygen injection in hopes of verifying oxygen bubble sizes. Additional testing to improve oxygen transfer efficiency was also conducted utilizing various oxygen to water ratios and oxygen injection pressures. The periods of operations were as follows:
• Tuesday, July 6th, 2010 – 10:15 am to 3:15
• Wednesday, July 7th, 2010 – 9:30 am to 1:00 pm
• Thursday, July 8th, 2010 – 11:00 am to 3:15 pm
