The following report on the Temporary Barriers Project is for your information and action, as appropriate. This report will be transmitted whenever changes occur to the operation of the barriers, and as a result of modeling and/or field monitoring of water levels in the south Delta.

STATUS AS OF: November 10, 2005

Head of Old River Barrier (HORB):

The HORB was breached on Tuesday, November 8. The HORB is expected to be completely removed by November 15th.


Agricultural Barriers (Old River near DMC, Middle River, Grant Line Canal):


Removal of the agricultural barriers began November 7, with a breach at the MR barrier on November 8. The breach of the DMC barrier occurred today, and the GLC barrier breach is scheduled for November 15. All agricultural barriers will be fully removed by November 30.


Modeling:

Modeling was not done this week, as the barriers will be in various states of removal. Modeling will resume in April when the barriers are installed again.
