The following report on the Temporary Barriers Project is for your information and action, as appropriate.  This report will be transmitted whenever changes occur to the operation of the barriers, and as a result of modeling and/or field monitoring of water levels in the south Delta.

STATUS AS OF:  December 8 , 2006

Head of Old River Barrier (HORB):

The spring and fall HORB was not installed this spring due to high flows and favorable dissolved oxygen conditions in the SJR.

Agricultural Barriers (Old River near DMC, Middle River, Grant Line Canal):

The Middle River barrier was completely removed on November 19, 2006.  The “in-water’ work for Grant Line Canal barrier was completed on December 5 and cleanup was completed on December 7.  The DMC barrier in-water work was completed on December 7, with cleanup expected to be finished December 8.
